Swaziland Homeopathy Project
Objectives
The main objectives of the project are to:
- Work in conjunction with community based organizations that promote social and economic empowerment in rural communities by offering holistic care and emotional support to people suffering from illness, trauma, grief and stigma especially those symptoms associated with HIV/AIDS.
- Expand clinics and make homeopathy available to other HIV/AIDS community supporting groups.
- Maintain the average number of existing homeopathic clinics at a minimum of four per week, by extending the number of rural community mobile outreach clinic locations (at present 19).
- Continue the four year professional training course of 10 Swazi homeopaths in collaboration with the College of Practical Homeopathy and the International Register of Consultant Herbalists and Homeopaths in the UK.
- Identify two additional qualified homeopaths as volunteers to sustain the project by 2014.
