Homeopathic medicine - description

Homeopathy is an inexpensive, safe, effective and increasingly popular form of medicine. Many doctors are now using it throughout the world. A growing body of scientific research shows that it can be of great benefit both in the treatment of disease and in countering the side effects of orthodox drugs. Many patients are turning to alternative forms of medicine because of these side-effects and because many diseases are becoming resistant to conventional treatment. Homeopathy is one of the safest forms of medicine and following treatment with a well chosen medicine most people begin to feel better, for some patients nothing happens and a small number of people experience some slight or temporary intensification of symptoms before they begin to improve.

Homeopathy works on both the physical and mental symptoms of disease. This treatment, especially on a large scale, is cost effective and is therefore particularly well suited as an additional support application for impoverished communities infected or affected by HIV/AIDS. A further advantage of this therapy is that it treats the individual as opposed to the “disease” and does not rely on expensive medical testing for diagnosis.

There is much to be gained from making homeopathy available to vulnerable communities affected by HIV/AIDS. It must be stressed that homeopathy does not claim to cure HIV/AIDS but it can greatly improve people’s quality of life by fighting the infections that come with HIV and the side effects of ART. Homeopathic treatment, in conjunction with ART improves patients’ physical and mental wellbeing and so enables them to continue working to support their families.
