Classrooms, store rooms and cooking shelters for the Neighbourhood Care Points 4/17/2007 |

Store room and cooking shelter at Mahlanya N C P. |
The classroom building provides shelter for the children and provides for the different age groups to be taught seperately. The buildings are 14 meters by 3.7 meters and are divided into three rooms.
The store room is necessary to keep the food supplies delivered to the care point on a monthly or bimonthly schedule. It must be secure from thieves as well as rats.
A shelter over the cooking area will allow food to be prepared when it rains. Without a shelter children are not fed on rainy days. There is a rainy season in Swaziland which lasts for several months in the spring and summer, October to March. The store room and cooking shelter shown was built with a donation from the Memorable Order of Tin Hats, Shellhole Manzini and the Rotary Club of Malkerns Valley. MOTHS are an orginization of British Veterans.
A pre fabricated classroom building costs $6,000. A store room and cooking shelter can be built for $2,500.
