The History of Reflexology
The ancient healing art of reflexology has been known to man for many thousands of years. It was first practiced by the early Indian, Chinese and Egyptian peoples. Throughout history, cultures have created therapeutic paractices of footwork. From ancient Egypt, China and Japan, footwork is depicted in relics, including a pictograph from the tomb of a physician in Egypt dating from 2350 B.C. Cleopatra is noted in historic works to have worked on Mark Anthony's feet (circa 60 B.C.).
Buddha's footprints, depicting stone carvings of the areas in the soles of the feet are found throughout Asia. Buddha's footprints are found in the Medicine Teacher Temple in Nara, Japan, dating from 790 A.D.
Consultations last one hour, working both on hands and base of feet.
