Based in Mbabane, SHP is a grassroots non-profit dedicated to providing affordable, sustainable healthcare to the people of Eswatini. Our passionate team of local homeopaths and volunteers is committed to bridging the gap in rural healthcare while protecting the natural heritage of our country.
Outreach clinic
We currently operate a number of monthly outreach clinics in Eswatini as well as twice weekly clinics in Mbabane, as well as five rural clinics in Mozambique.
Homeopathy offers a holistic approach to illness, trauma, and grief. It is safe, inexpensive, and supports the body’s natural immune response.
Since 2009, we have treated over 11,000 patients. Using the Karnofsky and VAS scoring systems, our 17 years of data show significant improvements in:
Our published research shows that patients using homeopathy alongside conventional medicine report:

True health begins in the soil. At SHP, we believe that independence starts with self-sufficiency. We empower our community to move beyond reliance on imported goods by becoming producers of their own nourishment and wellness.
At the heart of this initiative is the Mbabane Urban Garden, a community hub where theory meets practice. This living classroom demonstrates that nutrient-dense, organic food can be grown even in limited urban spaces using sustainable, cost-effective methods like permaculture.
We don’t just talk about food security; we teach the tools to achieve it. Our workshops provide community members with the skills to transform their own outdoor spaces into productive micro-farms, focusing on:
To bridge the gap between growers and consumers, we established the monthly Ekuphileni Farmer's Market. As the first of its kind in the country, it serves as a vital platform for:
Warburgia salutaris (sibhaha) in the wild
Eswatini’s biodiversity is under threat. We work to protect the indigenous plants that traditional medicinal practitioners (TMPs) have relied on for generations.

Founded in 2008 to serve rural communities, SHP has grown from a small volunteer effort into a professionally staffed organization. In 2014, we celebrated the graduation of nine Swazi homeopaths from a rigorous four-year Diploma program. SHP is run by a small strong team of homeopaths, volunteers and consultants.

The Swaziland Homeopathy Project relies on the support of partners, donors, and the community to keep our mobile clinics running and our stock of cultivated medicinal plants. Your contribution directly provides healthcare to those who need it most and protects our natural heritage.
The progress we have made since 2008—from mobile outreach to the establishment of the Ekuphileni Wellness Centre and our vital conservation efforts—would not be possible without the generosity of our supporters.
We are deeply grateful to our dedicated donors and partners who share our vision of accessible healthcare and a protected environment. Your belief in our work empowers us to serve over 11,000 patients and continue safeguarding Eswatini’s indigenous medicinal heritage.
To our individual donors, volunteers, and community leaders who continue to walk this path with us: Thank you for your trust and your kindness.
Quote from one of the TMPs’ Ntokozo Mamba –‘ Thank you for what you are doing with us…. If in the future we are no longer able to get the plants in the wild, at least we will have these trees and plants that you gave us to grow in our homesteads.’
Our work in Eswatini is fueled by a shared commitment to a healthier, more sustainable future. Whether you are an individual donor, a potential partner, or a volunteer, your contribution helps us bridge the gap in rural healthcare and protect the biodiversity that sustains our nation.
We would love to hear from you. Reach out to our team to learn more about our current projects, upcoming workshops, or how to donate.
